Arts Project workshop series accepting registrations for second spring session
The Arts Project at Penn State Lehigh Valley will offer a variety of workshops for six weeks from Apr. 7-May 15. Additionally, two new workshops, Acting for Film and Creating Ceramic Vessels and Raku Firing, will be offered in April. All instructors are Penn State adjunct faculty for the campus’ growing art program and bring a wealth of artistic experiences to the program.
Acting for Film will be offered on Tuesdays, Apr. 8-May 13, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. with instructor Katina Bozikis. This is an intensive course during which participants can learn all aspects of acting from improvisation to scene study. Students will work on scenes from various films using the Sanford Meisner technique. The course is open to all who want to learn about acting.
Creating Ceramic Vessels and Raku Firing will be held on two Saturdays, Apr. 5 and 12, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Students will work with master ceramic artist Renzo Faggioli to create ceramic vessels during the first Saturday and participate in the Raku firing process on the second Saturday to create the unique finish that only this process can produce.
Other workshops offered include Beginning and Advanced Jewelry and Metalwork, Drawing and Design Fundamentals, Wet Felting, and Exploring Printmaking.
