Campus announces new faculty appointments

Penn State Lehigh Valley has announced the following appointments to its faculty:

Leigh Cundari, Ed.D., has been appointed full-time instructor of rehabilitation and human services, one of Penn State Lehigh Valley's newest baccalaureate degree programs. Cundari received her Ed.D., Ed.S., and M.Ed., from Lehigh University. She has previously worked as a disability services specialist at Northampton Community College.

Mark Gruskin, Ph.D., has been appointed as assistant professor of finance and accounting. Gruskin holds a doctoral degree from Wayne State University and an M.B.A. from Penn State University. He has held academic positions and/or taught courses at James Madison University, the University of Michigan, and Wayne State University. He has also worked for the Ford Motor Company and FORDDIRECT.com in Dearborn, Mi.

Marietta Scanlon, Ph.D., has been appointed full-time instructor of engineering. Scanlon received a doctoral degree from The Johns Hopkins University, and an S.M. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Scanlon has previously worked at St. Ignatius Loyola Regional School in West Lawn, Pa., and at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Scanlon also serves as a corporate trainer in materials science and engineering.

Leslie Staffeld, Ed.D., has been appointed full-time instructor of elementary education. Staffeld received both a doctorate and master of education degree from Lehigh University. Staffeld has 26 years of experience as an elementary school principal in the Quakertown Community School District, and has taught courses at DeSales University.

Mary Ann Stank, has been appointed full-time instructor of elementary education. Stank received both a master's and bachelor's degree from Kutztown University. Stank most recently worked as director of curriculum at Kutztown University, and was also an instructor at DeSales University.
