Lehigh Valley campus to welcome over 300 students for 2012-13 school year
From 9:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m., on Thurs., Aug. 23, Penn State Lehigh Valley will welcome more than 300 new students at orientation day at the campus in Center Valley.
While the majority of this year’s incoming class is mostly Pennsylvania natives, a few students have traveled all the way from places as far as Korea to begin their Penn State journey.
Thursday’s activities will show the new Nittany Lions how to make the most of their college experience through group sessions, a diversity-themed performance by Metamorphosis Theatre Company, and workshops that will help them learn more about the resources available to them. Faculty college representatives will also be on hand to assist students with any questions they may have about their degree options as a student at Penn State.
Complete with a new student picnic, music, and information about campus services, the orientation will allow students to get to know their classmates, as well as the entire campus community.
