Chemistry professor selected for technology award
Julie B. Ealy, Ph.D., associate professor of chemistry at Penn State Lehigh Valley, has been selected by the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) Awards and Recognitions Committee as the recipient of the 2011 Vernier Technology Award as a college professor and will be recognized at the NSTA National Conference on March 11 in San Francisco, Ca.
The Vernier Technology Award recognizes and rewards the innovative use of data collection technology using a computer, graphing calculator, or other handheld in the science classroom. The recognition includes a monetary award, expenses to attend the NSTA National Conference, a complimentary one-year membership in NSTA, and $1000 in Vernier products.
