Writing Project to hold technology workshops

The Penn State Lehigh Valley Writing Project is offering two workshops for educators who wish to learn more about how they can use modern technology to add to their teaching skills. The workshops, which will be held at the Corporate Learning Center in Bethlehem, are each approved for four Act 48 hours.

 

Digital Storytelling

Using still images, video, voice, and sound effects can bring a story to life. This workshop will introduce some of the tools used to create digital stories. All phases of digital writing, from concept to final production, will be covered. Digital storytelling can be an effective way to capture the interest and imagination of student writers.

Writing for Self-Expression (Podcasting)

Writing for audio or visual production is an engaging way to expand the writing experience. This workshop will introduce methods for producing audio and video digital media. These 'radio'-style shows, generally referred to as podcasts, can be very versatile and can be produced for large audiences or for individual learning.
