Career Services announces April events

Penn State Lehigh Valley Career Services has announced the following events in April:

On-Campus Interviews: ADP (Automatic Data Processing, Inc.)

9:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Wednesday, April 1

112B, Conference Room

ADP will be interviewing students and alumni at Penn State Lehigh Valley for full-time and internship positions. Recent alumni (December 2008) and students graduating in May 2009 and August 2009 are encouraged to apply. Available positions include: Inside Sales Professional - Relationship Manager, Lead Generator, and Business Data Analyst (Internship Opportunity). E-mail your cover letter and resume as Microsoft Word attachments to Jessica Kirkwood, jlk296@psu.edu. Write “ADP Application” in the subject line. Students will be pre-selected by ADP for interviews. If selected, you will be contacted to set up an interview time for April 1.

28th Annual Job Fair for Educators – Sponsored by Kutztown University’s Career Center

9 a.m.-3 p.m., Thursday, April 2

More than 100 educational employers from across the country will recruit at this regional event. No pre-registration required. One copy of each candidate's resume will be collected at the registration table, but be sure to bring plenty of copies for potential employers.  Professional dress is required.  Parking is limited so candidates are encouraged to carpool. Employer profiles are available at http://careers.kutztown.edu.

Admission: $5, cash only, for non-Kutztown University students and alumni

Professional Etiquette Dinner

5 p.m. registration, 5:30 p.m. dinner on Wednesday, April 8

Lehigh Career and Technical Institute Restaurant

*Participants must sign-up with Career Services by Wednesday, March 25, to reserve a seat.

Please join us for an interactive event featuring professional networking and dining etiquette for students and professionals. Anne Baum, founder of Vision Accomplished, LLC, will be presenting on well researched strategies and techniques for conducting business in a formal dining setting. A networking reception will commence at 5:30 p.m. followed by a formal dinner.

Business Internship Presentations and Dinner

4 p.m.-8 p.m., Monday, April 20

Lehigh Career and Technical Institute Restaurant

Senior business students enrolled in BA495A and BA495B will culminate their internship and project experiences with a formal presentation and dinner. A panel of judges will be present. A buffet dinner and refreshments will be provided. Business students that have concluded their internship or project at 300 hours and are ready to present must contact Mike Krajsa, mjk38@psu.edu, to sign up for a presentation timeslot.
