Are you an Adult Learner?
Kathleen spent four years in the Navy before returning to complete her degree.

We're pleased that you are considering Penn State Lehigh Valley. We welcome the experience-based knowledge and enthusiasm for learning that adult students bring to their education. No matter what your academic, professional, or personal goals, chances are you will find a program at Penn State that is right for you.

An adult learner is:

  • 24 years of age or older
  • a veteran of the armed services
  • an individual returning to school after four years or more of employment, homemaking, etc.
  • a person who assumes multiple adult roles such as parent, spouse/partner, employee, and student

For an adult learner, heading back to college can be challenging. At Penn State Lehigh Valley, we want to help make the transition easier. The classes here are small, the professors will know you by name, but most importantly, you will be among your peers.

With a large adult-learner population, classes here are well integrated with traditional-age students and adult learners. You will be focusing on learning instead of feeling out of place!

Earn your degree, update your skills, change your career....your opportunities are endless at Penn State Lehigh Valley.
