Gallery Exhibit: "IDEA - A Study in Local Color"

A Study in Local Color Exhibit
4/8/2014 —

The Gallery at Penn State Lehigh Valley presents the work of local high school students in "IDEA - A Study in Local Color." The exhibition runs May 13-June 20 with a reception on May 13 from 5-7 p.m. Both the exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.

For this exhibition, students researched local businesses and the products they produce in an effort to create an interesting composition to paint in the tradition of realism and hyperrealism.

IDEA: Inter-District Experience in the Arts is a collaborative art exhibition by the AP Portfolio art students from Palisades and Southern Lehigh High Schools and is sponsored by The Erwin J. and Gertrude K. Neusch Fund.

Summer Gallery hours are: Mon.-Thurs., 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Fri. and Sat., 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For an appointment or for more information, contact Ann Lalik, gallery director, at annlalik@psu.edu or 610-285-5261.
